Rome Yards will offer a dynamic setting making it an ideal relocation option for existing organizations or a comprehensive home for new business. The mixed-use redevelopment will include 17,000 sq. ft. of commercial space, a job training center, and over 30,000 sq. ft. of amenity spaces.
Rome Yards will consist of 954 residential units including apartments and townhouses to be built within six years; 600 of which will be for workforce housing and affordable housing. The city and the company have an established working relationship and a shared interest in building a quality community.

Related envisions just what the city of Tampa rightly called for — a mixed-use neighborhood of both affordable and market-rate housing, retail, “micro” space for local startups and a workforce training center, along with an amphitheater, great lawn and other amenities that define an urban lifestyle. The 18-acre Rome Yards Development Project, a $300 million joint venture between the Tampa Housing Authority, the City of Tampa, and Related Urban Development Group. The plans include a brick observation “cigar tower” to honor the cigar factories that were an indelible part of West Tampa’s Latin history. The company also will work with local historians on a cultural and arts center.
